Shiki Theatre ID Account Terms of Registration and Use

Terms of Registration

These terms provided herein are applicable to individuals who have signed up for the ID registration service operated by Shiki Theatre Company (“Shiki,” “we,” “our” or “us”). Such individuals are referred to as “ID Members,” or “you/your.”

Our Handling of Your Personal Information

We will treat your information in accordance with our Statement on the Processing of Customers’ Personal Information, which is shown below. Information provided by you as an ID Member at the time of registration will be used solely for communication with you, including notices given to you when you complete a ticket reservation and newsletters disseminated by e-mail.

How to Delete Your Shiki ID Account

An ID Member may delete his or her registered account by going to the section marked “View/Change ID Account Information” on the menu and taking appropriate steps.

ID Account Removal by Shiki

We reserve the right to close your ID account without notice, if:

  1. Our e-mails sent to you have gone undelivered on more than a set number of occasions due to an incorrect e-mail address you furnished to us or your use of an e-mail blocking service;
  2. You have not used your Shiki ID account (e.g., for ticket reservation, or login to the ID Center) in the last three years;
  3. We discover that you have conducted an act listed in the Prohibited Actions clause;
  4. We discover that you have re-sold tickets on auction sites and similar channels; or,
  5. Keeping an ID account on an ongoing basis is no longer appropriate.

Content of e-mail newsletters disseminated by us

An ID Member who wishes to act based on the information from e-mail newsletters from us shall be responsible for any consequences arising therefrom.

Prohibited Actions

ID Members are not allowed to:

  1. Register an e-mail address owned by a third party without obtaining his or her consent:
  2. Create more than one ID account in his or her name without the consent of Shiki; or
  3. Deliberately attempt to cause system failure.

System Downtime

We may suspend the operations of our services in whole or in part for system maintenance. We may also suspend services in whole or in part without notice for emergency system maintenance and in the event of force majeure.

Disclaimer by Shiki Regarding Shiki ID

Shiki shall not be held responsible for any damages suffered by an ID Member or any parties related thereto in respect of its policy regarding Shiki ID registration and removal.

Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to change these terms without notice. The terms in effect at the time of your use of our service shall apply to you.

Supplementary Provision

These Terms of Use shall come into force on June 19, 2017.

Statement on the Processing of Customers’ Personal Information

Shiki Theatre Company was established with the goal of sowing the seeds of theatrical culture and making them take root in people’s lives throughout society by redressing the excessive concentration of cultural offerings in limited cities. Our mission is to deliver theatrical productions of superior quality to our audiences. In fulfilling our goal, we believe it important to gain the trust of our customers who utilize the services we provide. To this end, we make sure that all personal information our customers entrust to us in the course of communications and transactions with us is protected by using such information in a manner befitting the purposes of use outlined below. We hereby declare that we keep this Statement in mind at all times in an effort to safeguard personal information of our customers to the fullest extent.

■ We abide by laws, regulations and other rules governing the processing of customer information.

■ We continually and perpetually administer and review employee training, internal controls and other measures designed to strengthen our organizational structure ensuring proper handling of personal information collected from our customers. We safeguard our customers’ personal information by limiting access to certain authorized personnel only and by enhancing security for increased protection against unauthorized use, loss and damage, tampering and unintentional disclosure. We will never use the personal information collected from customers except where :

  • such information is used for the staging of shows and reservation and sales processes in respect of tickets and merchandise;
  • disclosure is required by law;
  • disclosure is necessary for the protection of the lives, health, property or rights of other visitors to our official website, but obtaining the consent of the individual is difficult or impractical;
  • disclosure is necessary for improving public health or assisting the sound growth of children, but obtaining the consent of the individual is difficult or impractical; or
  • disclosure is made upon request for cooperation by national or local authorities in executing their duties as prescribed by law.

■ We consider the following as personal information of a customer:
Information we generate in connection with purchase applications for tickets and the like;
Information furnished by customers, including any changes thereto as reported by customers; and
Other information we obtain through questionnaires, e-mails, web forms and the like.

■ We may engage third parties for accurate and prompt processing of personal information collected from customers and may furnish personal information of customers to our business partners from time to time in connection with customers’ use of certain services. We choose our business partners only after we verify that an adequate level of personal data protection is in place.

■ To protect the interest of our customers, we strive to keep customers’ personal information accurate and up to date at all times. We will promptly respond to a customer’s request for disclosure of his or her personal information on file and apply any correction, if required.
